The Duhawks Smash Records in Rival Territory

On February 21st, the Duhawks Mens and Women’s Track and Field teams competed at the University of Dubuque. We saw top performances at this meet in multiple events as the athletes competed throughout the evening.

On the mens side, Ryan Rogers placed well in multiple events including second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.72 seconds and placed first in long jump.

Patrick Mikel set multiple records in Spartan territory. In the 200 meter dash, Mikel broke the facility record, program record, and his own personal best time clocking in at 21.99 seconds.

Ending the night, the mens 4 x 400 meter relay set a new nation leading time at 3 minutes and 16.95 seconds.

For the women, we also saw outstanding performances throughout the night. In the 55 meter dash Gabrielle Noland set a new school record, also claiming first with a time of 7.02 seconds. Coming in second, Terriana Black also came in hot with a time of 7.03 seconds. Noland also took second in the 200 meter dash claiming a program record and ranking her second nationally.

In the 55 meter hurdles, Elayna Bahl took first place with a time of 8.33 seconds, putting her at 13th nationally in the event. Bahl cleared 5 feet and 2 inches in the high jump placing her fourth in Spartan territory.

Finally, Kassie Rosembaum had an outstanding performance in the mile clocking in at sub-5 with a time of 4 minutes and 58.5 seconds.
