Senior swimming spotlight: Jacob Priewe
Cole Rabedeaux (TheLorian)
The swim season has been going on for about a month now, and the swimmers are amid rigorous practices and meets. Currently, the women’s side has a 1-2 record while the men’s side has a record of 2-1. As we approach the midway point of the season, the team will be training to get ready to compete at one of our biggest meets of the year held in Rochester, Minnesota.
For the second and last senior spotlight, I will be interviewing senior Jacob Priewe. He is the other senior on the team, as there are no seniors on the women’s side.
How long have you been swimming?
I have been swimming all four years here at Loras. I have done club and competitive swimming since I was a kid.
What is your preferred event?
My preferred event would be the 100-breast or any mid-distance free event
What is your best time and in what event?
My best times were 1:09 in the 100-breast and 5:22 in the 500-free.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are to take a gap year to study for the LSAT, save money for law school, and, hopefully after that gap year, I will be attending law school.
There will be two home meets before our invitational in Rochester, Minnesota. The first against Simpson College will be on Friday, Nov. 19. The second against Grinnell College will be on Nov. 20, which is the following day. Both will be located in Graber Hall at the San Jose Pool. I hope to see some of you there to help support the Loras College Swim and Dive Team!
