Saints best Gamblers in Nail Bitter

The Dubuque Fighting Saints battled the GreenBay Gamblers on the ice February 15th.

Dubuque started off hot collecting 3 unanswered goals pushing their lead 3-0 in the first period. The goals would come from the usual suspects of Matia Maccelli and Logan Pietila, but Simon Kjellberg kicked off the night with the first goal

Green Bay battled back goal to goal pushing it to 4-3 at the end of the second. Gambler players Rory Herrman and Gleb Murtazin both scored 2 goals over the knight, an while it was not a night for the goalies Makism Zhukov stopped 22 shots for the Gamblers.

The Saints would win 6-5 with a beautiful game-winning shot by Cooper Harr. With the win, the Saints won their season series with Greenbay, and also snapped a three-game losing streak.

The Saints will be on the ice this Friday against the Chicago Steel.
