“I can’t waste my gift,” the story of Kyle Wagner

LORAS COLLEGE – Kyle Wagner was hunting in Minnesota when he got bite by a tick. Thinking he had removed them all, later Kyle was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Although it did not effect him through high school and his first years of college at Loras, everything changed when he woke up one morning and could not move his arms.

As a senior Kyle continues to support both the cross country and track team at Loras, whether he can run with them or not. For Kyle it is not a matter of running, it’s a matter of being with the team every step of the way as they have done for him. Knowing some days Kyle cannot it his all, they know Kyle does not want to use Lyme Disease as an excuse. Even though some days are worse than other they know Kyle gives his all everyday of the week.
