Duhawks look for Redemption against Eagles

Back for Redemption from Friday nights loss, The women’s Lacrosse team took the field versus Bendictine Univeristy

Action would start fast as Adira Dangoy scored first for the duhawks followed by Victoria House for Benedictine 10 seconds later bringing the score 1-1

Clare Brunn hit a hot streak! She captured a hattrick in the 1st period scoring 3 consecutive goals, quite a way to start off the season for the freshmen standout.

The teams would battle back and forth for leverage all through the first period, Benedictine closed the gap to 1 point after Madison Hornan put one in the net. Eagles trail 10-7

Into the 2nd, the Brunn and Flynn connection would not be denied pushing the duhwaks lead 12-9, Benedictine would claw their way back with 3 goals trailing by 1

It wasn’t all offense by the duhawks, Goalie Rebecca Hiebing racked up 12 saves in the net keeping the Eagless at bay long enough for Olivia Flynn to seal the deal with her last goal. Duhawks take the game 17-15

Next Wednesday the Duhawks will take on Conference foe Wartburg knights in the rockbowl.
