UPDATE: Jackson County officials find car runaway inmates stole

JACKSON COUNTY, IA – Jackson County officials, along with the Clinton Police Department, found the truck that two runaway inmates stole.

The 2012 Ford truck was found in Clinton, Iowa with the license plates removed.

The truck was locked, but officers saw a pair of orange shorts inside the vehicle.

Chief Deputy Steve Schroeder says five inmates were in the exercise yard of the Jackson County Detention Center on Tuesday when two of them pried open a gate and escaped.

Their names are Andrew Combs and Brian Willey.

Combs is a white male weighing 185 pounds.

Willey is a white male weighing 160 pounds.

Officials say they have no reason to believe the two are violent.

“They didn’t have any weapons on them or anything, they left in a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of orange shorts, a black sweatshirt and a white t-shirt,” Chief Deputy Schroeder said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Jackson County Sheriff’s office at 563-652-3312, or your own local law agency.
