Black History Month Celebration


Dubuque citizens gathered to the Multicultural Center, Tuesday night to celebrate Black History Month. This annual event featured dance performances from kid groups Turnt Kids and April Diamonds, a presentation from real estate agent Ernest Jackson, and light refreshments.  

Jackson annually attends the event and expressed the benefits of attending this event

“I think this is a great event it’s a great opportunity to get people together to hear some messages that they won’t here during other times of the year so black history month is a great event of people take advance of the real purpose of black history month I’m glad to be here”

Throughout, this event various gift cards were raffled off and concluded with special thanks to the citizens and donators.

Overall, audience was full of smiles and cheers as Black History Month wrapped up.
