Art Competition Raises Money for Scholarships

DUBUQUE – Area artists took to the streets for the Great Draw Street Art Competition.

About 70 people of all ages took part in the event.

Each artist was given a space on the street where they could create their own masterpiece.

On-lookers voted for their favorite artwork while supporting the cause.

“All the money that we are raising from the event goes to three area scholarships that will be awarded to students graduating high school next year in Dubuque,” spoke Stormy Mochal, Co-Owner of Outside the Lines Art Gallery.

The competition was a success, raising over $900 for scholarships.
