Movie Review: “It: Chapter Two”

Do you enjoy to feeling your pulse rise, have your hair stand on end, or jump out of your seat? If so, “It: Chapter Two” is the movie for you. The movie, directed by Andy Muschetti, is based on Stephen King’s novel, “It” (IMBD). The predecessor of this movie, “It”, is currently “the highest-grossing rated-R movie of all time”. In this sequel, older versions of the characters from the first movie, affectionately dubbed the “losers club”, are summoned back to Derry, the town in which they grew up. Although the seven members of this friend group have all grown-up and gone their separate ways, they all come back together for a greater purpose, but you’ll have to watch to see what happens. This movie was gory and full of different scare tactics, like jump-scares. Running at 2 hrs and 45 min, this movie keeps viewers on the edge of their seats; there are very few dull moments. If you love scary movies, I would recommend giving this one a try. While it does not fully live up to the hype or expectations of the original, it was still wonderfully done and was well received by movie critics and fans alike. If you decide to watch this terrifying flick, make sure you bring some friends to share the fear with. Happy watching.
