Cookin’ with Jazz: Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta


8 ounces fettuccine
1 pound medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 stick of butter
4 cloves of garlic
½ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups grated Parmesan
2 tbsp. parsley leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then set aside. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium/high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Then add shrimp and cook until pink (about 2-3 minutes). Add in the pasta and Parmesan to the garlic butter shrimp mixture. In a microwave melt remaining butter, then pour over pasta. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
