Offensive Line’s Time to Shine
It is rare in sports that such a crucial aspect in the success of a team goes virtually unnoticed by the teams fans. One case where this is true, however, is the offensive line.
Blinded by the long, flashy runs and deep touchdown passes, a casual fan will forget about the guys up front who gave time or made the running lane for it all to happen.
Ask any quarterback, running back, coach, or mom/girlfriend of an offensive lineman and they will tell you: success is determined by who has better big guys up front.
Fortunately for the Duhawks, 4 seniors make up the offensive line this year.
Their time together to learn and grow, 4 years of physical development, and unique chemistry between them allows for success on the field and friendship off.
I talked to the offensive line about their success, being together for 4 years, and what it’s like to go virtually unrecognized by the fans.
