Duhawk Spotlight – Liz Jendra

Duhawk Spotlight – Liz Jendra

DUBUQUE, IA –

The Duhawk Spotlight highlights an outstanding athlete each week for their work inside and outside of their sport.

This week featured a very special senior. Liz Jendra, the lone senior on the volleyball team, is a natural leader. Her seniority¬†allows for her leadership skills to shine, and the team has responded well to it. Jendra and the volleyball team are on a hot streak, winning the last six games in a row, including a win over rival Wartburg. The win against Wartburg was the first time in five years that the Duhawks have taken down the knights, and a first in Jendra’s four years at the school.

The team is playing well, thanks in large part to the play of Jendra. If the Duhawks can play like they have in the last six games, there is no reason to believe that the Duhawks can’t compete for a conference championship: One of Jendra’s goals for her team.

At the end of the season, the Duhawks will have big shoes to fill in the absence of their team leader, and this weeks Duhawk Spotlight, Liz Jendra.
