LORAS COLLEGE – From Morrison High School to Loras College, Logan Kuehl and Calvin Harridge haven’t always been best friends, but when you spend as much time with each other as they do now, it can be hard to be not only consider each other a best friend, but also a brother.
Calvin doesn’t have a hard time admitting Logan played a big part in his coming to Loras, “Yeah, I like to mess with him and tell him he had no influence on me there’s nothing he did, I was just coming here but yeah he had a lot, he gave me the downlow on everything here, let me know my chances of playing and about classes, if it was a good choice or not.”
Calvin might look up to Logan in age, but on the field Logan says he is just as important, “I think Calvin tends to let me make the intials [calls], but he’s making just as many calls as I am out there half the time, I’ll make adjustments but he’ll make a lot of base calls for us and communicate everything and if I ever call anything he’s the first one thats relaying it and making sure everyone is on the same page.”
Looking forward to the day where Logan no longer lines up next to Calvin on the field Calvin says, “I do have a little anxiety how is it gonna be when we’re not together anymore, but I think it will all work out very well in the end.”
No matter what, Logan and Calvin will always be ‘Football Brothers.”
