DUBUQUE – The presidential election is just 40 days away and the latest Loras College Poll shows Iowans are still split on their pick. A state-wide survey, conducted from September 20th to the 22nd, found that Clinton and Trump are neck and neck. Both are polling at 38% in Iowa. Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, is getting some recognition in the polls, coming in at 9%.
Loras College Poll also shows incumbent congressman Rod Blum leads Monica Vernon 45% to 30%. Analysts say the Iowa District One race is among the most competitive in the country.
