Resurrection Church partnered with St. Stephen’s Food bank to bring food to those in need. The Church hosted its fifth mobile food bank this Saturday. They raised money and donations from their parishioners to buy food from St. Stephen’s Food Bank. They bought the items for 18 cents a pound and St. Stephen’s helped distribute it.
Volunteers of all ages took part in the mobile food bank for a variety of reasons.
“Basically because I consider it as service and it’s kind of fun” Said one enthusiastic volunteer!
From bread, to rice, to mac n cheese – more than 25 thousand pounds of food were donated.
St Stephen’s Food Bank fed a little over 100 families this year.
