DUBUQUE – In honor of Loras College’s Peace and Justice week, artist Rohina Malik performed her original one woman show “Unveiled” on campus Wednesday September 21.
It presented five monologues from five different Muslim women living in a post 9/11 world.
The show called together people of many faiths to examine the stigmas that the characters found themselves dealing with.
For Malik, her show is all about opening your eyes and heart to the beliefs of those around you.
Malik stated, “Go outside your bubble. Go outside your world and meet other people with different worldviews, and get to know them. And then you can’t stereotype someone once you get to know them.”
The play was followed by a question and answer session and a book signing.
