DUBUQUE – If you don’t have a car, getting around Dubuque can be difficult. However, the popular app Uber may be another option on the horizon.
The ride-sharing app, which allows ordinary car drivers to use their cars like taxis, hasn’t opened its services to Dubuque as of now. However, one council member is receptive to the idea.
Dubuque City Council member Kevin Lynch, representing Ward 1, stated that “the City of Dubuque, we are very much leaders in the area of sustainability and resiliency, and I think anytime you can encourage any form of public transportation, that’s going to help with achieving those goals.”
You can sign up as a driver online, and the app is available to download for both Apple and Android products.
