A rally took place on Sunday at Jackson Park in memory of deceased, Nancy Krapfl.
The park quickly filled with community members, all supporting the new neighborhood slogan, “See something, Say something.”
Various leaders from the neighborhood spoke on how to move forward as a community from such a tragic event.
Lifelong Dubuque resident, Dianne Heim, explains what kind of an impact a loss like this has on community members, “When somebody gets hurt or gets in trouble, because we’ve lived here forever its like someone in our own family has been touched.”
To end the rally, the crowd gathered in the middle of the park and released balloons in memory of Krapfl.
