DUBUQUE – Dubuque’s future is looking bright, according to Mayor Roy Buol.
On Thursday he presented his 10 annual State of the City Address.
He praised Dubuque’s growth in many areas, including the economy, sustainability and a rise in employment.
The Mayor encouraged Dubuque’s continued growth and development to attract more businesses and millennial workers.
He said, “Our next generation of leaders also want to work in partnerships and they want their government to work for them. They see this as a key to our future success and necessary in order for us to face the economic, social and environmental issues coming down the pipe.”
He also recognized Dubuque’s growth in tourism – which topped nearly two million visiors this year.
