DUBUQUE, Iowa— On September 9th, around 5:25 a.m. officials responded to a house fire at 6094 Valley Wood Court.
It has been reported the homeowner was not home at the time but neighbors heard a loud explosion and rushed from their houses.
Cindy and Ruben Robles live right next door to the house and say they have not seen much of the owner lately-he comes and goes but they say the fire deparment sprayed their house first because the heat melted part of the side of their house off.
“It’s minimal damage it could have been a lot worse.” said Robles.
Nevertheless, their neighbor’s house is destroyed and the sheriff’s department and the state fire marshall are still looking into the cause of the fire.
