Dubuque, IA-Campus Dining is introducing a new wellness program for the beginning of the new school year. Healthy For Life outlines the nutritional value of the food served on campus in an effort to help students develop better eating habits.
“We are trying to focus on the fact that if the information is in front of students, they may stop and reconsider what they eat,” said Susi Dubois, Director of Dining Services.
This information can be found on a new electronic screen in the cafeteria’s Healthy For Life station. In addition to nutrition facts, the Healthy For Life station includes helpful brochures.
The new menu and nutrition facts are also posted on the portal for students to check so that they can walk into the cafeteria knowing what is healthy for them.
