LORAS- Loras students and faculty have planted a new community garden on campus. Located just outside the Science Hall, the garden will bring flowers and produce to campus.
This is the first garden of its kind, but Dr. Tom Davis hopes more will be created in the future: “Hopefully, if this catches on, we’re gonna maybe have some other people volunteer to put in another raised bed, two or three other raised beds on campus somewhere that would be similar to this.”
The garden is a joint project between students and faculty in an effort to improve sustainability on campus. The vegetables grown will be available to members of the Loras community.
If you want to help volunteer for the garden, please contact student Morgan Rea (Morgan.Rea@loras.edu), or professors Dr. Aditi Sinha (Aditi.Sinha@loras.edu) or Dr. Thomas A. Davis (Thomas.Davis@loras.edu).
