DUBUQUE- Loras College held their 11th annual Dance Marathon in the ACC on April 23rd.
Dance Marathon is a 12 hour long event that starts at noon, and ends at midnight. The number one rule to this event is that you are not allowed to sit down at all within those hours.
The event served many activities throughout the day including a room full of puppies, haircut donations, a karaoke band, a marathon of dancing, and so much more.
Everyone involved spent the entire day raising money for the Children’s Miracle network at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
Dance Marathon has been number in the nation per-capita fundraising for 7 years and running. The overall goal was to raise $200,000 by the end of the night.
The final amount raised was $201,717.44.
