Arts and Cultural Affairs Offers Grant

DUBUQUE, Iowa (LCTV) – The Special Arts Projects Grant program wants to bring the community together in the engagement of diversity, equity, and inclusion.  

The arts and culture special projects grant was started in Dubuque in 2005, which is run and funded through the office of arts and cultural affairs. The goal of this funding program is to support organizations to try something new the art and culture community.

Arts and Culture Coordinator for the city of Dubuque, Jenni Petersen-Brant, hopes that other local organizations not directly related to arts and culture utilize the available grant money.

“They to can apply for this funding to bring arts and culture experiences to the people that they work with.” Explains Petersen-Brant

Previous recipients of this grant would include the Dubuque County Historical Society, Dubuque Museum of Art and Julien Dubuque International Film Festival.

Important Dates for the Grant

  • April 15, 2020, by 11:59 – Special Project applications due 
  • June 2020 – Grant notifications and contracts release
  • July 2020 – Anticipated disbursement of funds
